Our Council centers on terminal, doctoral degrees designed for working executives. The Executive DBA Council encourages an engaged scholarship research approach that focuses on topics at the intersection of theory and contemporary business issues.

About the Council

Collaboration

Our council seeks to be a forum for students, alumni, faculty and administration of planned and active executive doctoral programs.
In addition to our online presence, our annual international conference serves as our main venue for collaboration on action research, program management and thought leadership.

Networking

It is the aim of the Executive DBA Council to provide outstanding networking and educational opportunities for professionals.
We serve as the primary point of contact and information source for program directors, academic directors, faculty, administrators, students, prospective students and alumni.
About the Council
Dr. Miller brings nearly six years of dedicated service to the EDBAC Board, where she originally was the Board’s alumni representative and has since represented Penn State University as an academic member. As faculty director of Penn State’s Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program - launched in 2023 - she has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of executive doctoral education.
A trailblazer in the field, Dr. Miller earned her DBA from Georgia State University in 2012 as part of the university’s inaugural cohort. She has remained a vital force in the DBA community ever since, actively participating in the Engaged Management Scholarship (EMS) Conference and serving on the editorial review board of Engaged Management Review, a journal devoted to advancing DBA research and impact.
As President of EDBAC, Dr. Miller is committed to strengthening the global influence of the DBA degree, championing the achievements of its students and alumni, and reinforcing the value of the practitioner-scholar model in business education and leadership.
