Curriculum Description
Students will need to travel to Calgary approximately 12 times over the duration of their program. There are eight courses that have three-day residences with blended pre- and post-course work. The courses run in the first 18-months of the program and then students move into candidacy and thesis work for the remainder of the four year degree
Thesis Requirements
Students are required to complete and defend a dissertation in four years, maximum six year duration.
Program Description
The Haskayne DBA program is designed to provide students with the research, analytical and critical thinking skills to help them become recognized contributors to new business knowledge and it’s application to practice.
Application requirements
At least 10 years of senior management experience, including seven at the executive level; or at least five years experience as a lecturer/instructor in a relevant field in a college or university. A Master's degree, such as an MBA or a relevant business-focused Master's degree (with a prior four-year baccalaureate degree) from a recognized institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a four-point scale is required. Students presenting credentials in an area other than business may be required to complete a qualifying period to gain a general business background before beginning the regular doctoral course requirements.
